Growing

I’ve been down the garden digging, raking, sweeping, weeding, pot sorting, greenhouse cleaning and seed sowing.  Broken pots were thrown away and the rest were cleaned up.  I ache all over!  But it’s worth it when the seeds start to grow 🙂

I love the spring… the magic of green shoots coming from tiny (or not so tiny in the case of the broad beans!) seeds 🙂

I’m always amazed at how a tomato seed grows into a 4′ tall plant and produces all that fruit! 😀

I love this time of year. It’s so uplifting watching the fresh little seedlings start to grow (before I’ve had time to neglect them and they turn into straggly, unproductive plants!) Is basil difficult from seed?

Basil is easy, grow on a sunny windowsill and keep the compost damp – not too wet. Some people keep the plant outdoors but that never works for me, it always dies!
