Fidgeting

I can’t settle into anything this week, I keep flitting from one thing to another. I’ve managed to get a lot done but it’s annoying because I want to concentrate on one thing at a time and make sure it’s done properly. I’ve weeded half the veg patch, sorted some of my yarn, hoovered and dusted half of the house (can’t be bothered to do upstairs!), scrubbed some of the grout around the tiles in the bathroom and repotted some of the tomatoes. I can’t seem to finish one job before starting another. I almost always have more than one crochet project on the go, but I usually spend a couple of hours at a time on one of them. This week I’ve done a row on one thing then switched to joining a couple of squares on another, then I make a coffee. While waiting for the kettle to boil, I look down the garden and notice that the chickens have kicked woodchips through the fence so I grab the rake and start tidying up the lawn…….. Hope I’m more organised next week 😀

A tatty Christmas cushion, I have four of these and am wondering what pattern to use to make new covers

My wristwarmers, made not long after I learned to crochet. They’re wonky, not because of miscounted stitches – I’m amazed I got that part right! – but my tension was way off 😀 I’m going to make myself a new pair but can’t decide on a pattern or colour

I’ve been fidgety lately too. I blame it on all the snow in March. I’m interested to see what kind of cover you make for your Christmas pillows. Making slip covers for a few of my old pillows is on my to-do list as well. 🙂

We’ve had no snow here at all, very disappointing 😦

I’m not sure how well I’ll get on with the covers, some of my previous colour choices for cushions have been what you’d politely call ‘interesting’ 😀
